Associate Professor, Helen Raptis

Our speaker this week was Helen Raptis, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria.  Helen's presentation was on Reserve Day schools.  Helen has just written a book called "What We Learned - Two Generations Reflect on Tsimshian Education and the Day Schools" published in February by UBC Press.  This book can be ordered online at www.ubcpress.ca  Helen's presentation was very interesting and was thoroughly enjoyed by all members of the Club.  Helen is pictured below with President Cosmo.
