Minutes for meeting of January 7, 2016

Meeting called to order by Cosmo at 6:30 pm

ANNOUNCEMENTS
  1. Maria spoke about the ad to be placed in the Sidney Peninsula Review.  January is Rotary Awareness Month.
  2. Donna spoke of a potential new member who may visit next week.
BUSINESS MEETING  
  1. Budget: The budget was discussed, discrepancies noted and some modifications proposed and passed.
  2. The Sidney by the Sea 50/50 draw proposal and our participation therein had been discussed at an earlier meeting.  The members agreed to agree in principle to participate with Sidney by the Sea.
  3. Our participation with some of our games at the Claremont Dry Grad was discussed.  It is a work in progress and Carolyn will continue to communicate with the Claremont Dry Grad Committee.
  4. The letter from John Leng about our continued running of the games was mentioned by President Cosmo.  As it was then after 8:00 pm, it was decided that the letter would be discussed on a later occasion.

Ian collected several Happy dollars.

Donna had the ticket but no luck.
