WITS Program - Potential for Success

Our presenter this evening was Alix Hotsenpiller from the WITS program (which is part of the Rock Solid Foundation).  Alix presented our members with a very informative outline of the WITS program which is carried out in schools across Canada.  WITS stands for:  W - Walk away, I - Ignore, T - Talk it out and S - Seek Help.  The WITS program is Canada's only evidence based, open access, bullying prevention program that targets reductions in peer victimization and bullying directly in elementary schools.  Pictured below is Alix being thanked by President Cosmo with a certificate of appreciation that 10 polio vaccines will be made in her honour.  Many thanks to Alix !
