Ian reminded everyone that he has sent out sign-up sheets for manpower assignments for the fall fair.  He encouraged everyone to sign up and recruit friends and family as well.

 

Naomi announced an invitation for the club members to come to Haliberton on July 28th for a Thank You Dinner.  Arrive at 6:00 for a tour and to see the new cooler that the Club helped to finance.

 

Roger reminded those who signed up to help with Dry Grad to arrive by 11:15.  Roger and Cosmo will have done the set up before, so others will just need to man the games.

 

There will be no meeting on June 30th.

 

July 7th will be installation of new officers.  Carolyn still needs RSVP for the installation dinner in reply to her e-mail requesting same.

 

July 14th speaker subject will be CRIDGE.

 

Cosmo reported that several members have formed an informal group to discuss fundraising ideas.

 

Donna gave good wishes to Jack Perry, Barry Hawkeswood and John Leng who are leaving the club and thanked them for their contribution over the years.

 

Tara and Cosmo went to the official opening of VIME’s new ’train building’ at the historical society site.  Recall that our club donated $1,000 toward the construction of this facility

 

PROGRAM:   

John Joynt gave a presentation on his “Personal Data Sheet” - a clever way to present himself as a ‘product’ based on his educational and work experiences.  His career to date has included training in electronics, application of that training in a variety of oceanographic products (both product development and sales and marketing), and wildlife tracking.

50/50 DRAW:  Carolyn had the winning ticket and drew a white marble.  More $ in the pot for next meeting!

 

June 30^th:  No meeting.  Canada Day set-up

 

July 7^th:  Meeting at Canoe Cove to celebrate and hold the “Installation of the 2016/17 Board.  Notetaker: Donna re transfer of duties with Carolyn.
